Among The Stars

Among The Stars blends elements of metal and prog to provide a unique experience for their audience. Their music is honest and authentic to who they are as individuals and a band -  ATS combines their love of intellectual and musical challenge, by writing complex riffs and rhythms around thought-provoking philosophical ideas.  Guitarist Matt Baker began experimenting in 2017 with music in the context and style of the cosmos incorporating elements from a spectrum of genres while connecting and expressing his emotions.  After enrolling at Berklee College of Music, Among The Stars took off as a full band, with the additions of guitarist James O’Connor, drummer Tanner Lively, bassist Nick Thorpe, and powerhouse vocalist Thalia Tymowski.  The band’s influences consist of Periphery, The Contortionist, Spiritbox, Cynic and Animals as Leaders. Under the mentorship of David Marvuglio (Ice Nine Kills, Lesser Glow, Gary Karr, The Smryk, Bill Pierce), the band has developed their sound into a well oiled live experience, who actively performs throughout the Boston music scene. 


Striving to be a positive force within the metal community, ATS makes meaningful connections with their audience, inspiring self governance and realization in their lyrics. They hope to make a positive impact on the world with their performances and would like to perform shows in an effort to support the causes they care about particularly standing for mental health awareness.
