Amplidyne Effect, led by Martin Georgievski (b. 1988, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia), is an improvised multimedia project that delves in the spectrum of experimental, ambient, contemporary classical, and drone sounds. The project comes to life through live improvisational performances at festivals, venues, and online streams worldwide, presented either as a solo act or as a collective.
Forming a foundation in long-form improvisation and exploratory recordings, Amplidyne Effect as a project employs a diverse array of instruments, including electric guitars, prepared instruments, field recordings, synthesizers, electronics, piezo microphones, and unconventional sound sources. Drawing inspiration from art, nature, technology, and experimental music, the project aims to push sonic boundaries while embracing the subtleties of its niche.
With an extensive discography of over 30 albums released on labels such as Transonic Records, Sharla Records, Attenuation Circuit, Shimmering Moods Records, Alien Garage, Lagerstätte, Twice Removed, and others, Amplidyne Effect collaborates with musicians worldwide through live performances, online streams, and recording sessions. Amplidyne Effect has appeared at festivals and events including Skopje Jazz Festival, Pohoda Festival (Slovakia), PNEM SoundArt Festival (Netherlands), Philosophical Film Festival, Biennale of Western Balkans (Greece), D Festival (Macedonia), ImprovE (Belgrade), PIN Music Conference (Skopje) and many more.
