Amptone is an emerging artiste that embarked on his musical career at a very young age. Anton ‘Amptone’ Wilcox grew up in Maraval, Port of Spain where he sang in the choir and school calypso competitions starting at the age of 5. In this forum, he grew to love the stage and showmanship and was a three-time consecutive primary school calypso champion.
Amptone’s musical journey took a temporary halt to focus on education.
Now 10 years later, Amptone re-ignited his love for the artform and has released several tracks like:
1. “In de Middle” Produced by Sheriff music
2. “Reach for me” Produced by Wildfire and CL productions
3. “You and I” on the Kizomba riddim reloaded Produced by Rebel Muzik
4. “No strings attached” Produced by Precision Productions
Now the most recent releases, ‘A Bumpa Story’ Produced by Stadic Music and ‘Any Gyal’ Produced by Xplicit entertainment. Amptone continues to work towards becoming a household name in the industry both as an artiste and a writer currently working on new projects with other well known producers and artistes.
