AmVoP

In a small cabin in the Swedish archipelago, AmVoP creates their music. AmVoP is consisting of the pianist and singer Fredrik Stigen Isberg and the guitarist Martin Jarbeck. The two members met in highschool where the dream of having a band together started to grow. After many years of different music projects they finally merged paths and began to make music together in their own way.

The music can be described as organic rock/pop with a touch of indie melancholy. The guitar and the piano are significant parts of the arrangements with their melodious hooks and distinctive riffs. The lyrics are in Swedish with poetic elements and symbolism.

AmVoP released their first single ”förgätmigej” in the autumn of 2017. Spring 2018 the band followed up with "Svarta havet" and December 2019 was the time for "Flickan med blomman”.

AmVoP’s fourth single ”Idag om ett år”, Swedish for ”Today; in a year”, is about future choices, dreams, love and longing. When you're longing for brighter times, the song becomes a comforting reminder that time is in motion and that the future is our to shape.

The band name, AmVoP, is an abbreviation of ”Avståndet mellan Vagn och Plattform” which means ”The gap between the train and the platform”. The name symbolizes the step between the well-known and the unknown.
