Austin culture pioneer, Amy Cook, is equal parts music and visuals. She's a SoCal original who migrated to ATX in the mid aughts via west Texas art town, Marfa. Not only has Amy created iconic Austin music (see "Hotel Lights" and "Let's Go Down To The River") but she's also responsible for the most iconic piece of art in the whole city - Austin's landmark, “i love you so much.” mural. Hundreds of people flock to the corner of S Congress and W James street to get their photo taken next to Cook's "i love you so much." mural. In 2019, Cook joined forces with local management boutique, The Noise Company, to release the epically soul-crushing breakup ballad, “Wasted with the Choir”. This spiritually cathartic anthem touches on gospel - with the classicism of Tracy Chapman and the modern edginess of a Lana Del Rey or Lorde.
