Formed in 2011, <a href="spotify:artist:2NZZP60STdtFp1GZsLRwHQ" data-name="Anahata">Anahata</a> came into the local scene, in NYC.
Performing at dive bars and nightclubs.
In 2014, Released their debut EP "Balance". The band released their second EP titled, "Abhorrence" on November 7, 2018. The band won the Afropunk 2019 Battle of the bands and performed at the festival, as well as opening for several other notable tours throughout the area. In February, the band released their single "Destroy Me" and following up, released "Blackout" in support of the Black Lives Matter Campaign. Continuing the momentum Anahata released 'Suffer' in July 2020, an alternative single displaying a more open direction going forward. Following the single, the band released the EP "Dissonance" in September 2020, displaying a more aggressive and emotional approach. April 28, 2021 the band performed live on vans.com, channel66. The are currently working on new material.
