Although based in Zagreb, Croatia, Analena has always, since the very beginning in the fall of 1997, been willing and determined to shatter real or imagined boundaries. With heavy roots in the punk rock ethos, celebrating inclusiveness and diversity, it is symbolic that band members hail from both Croatia and Slovenia. It consequently comes as no surprise that even after all these years neither listeners nor critics have been able to pinpoint their musical expression. In Analena's case, one man's hardcore is another man's noise and, simultaneously, another man's punk. Diverse but steady, their songs built from bittersweet melodies, blistering hooks and pummeling rhythms, Analena covers all the bases.

While playing hundreds of shows all over Europe, Analena released "Arhythmetics" (Get Off Records) and "It's Never Too Late To Split Up", a split release with Sensual Love (Get Off Records, Interstellar Records). Their last two albums "Carbon Based" (2004) and "Inconstantinopolis" (2009), which were both released on their own label Moonlee Records, both reverberate as an uncompromising statement from a smart and mature band. Analena. They are both full-blown expressions of determination and passion for alternative music.
