Anatomy of Hope first formed in Chicago in 1984 as a duet featuring Kiyoshi Najita and Tzvi Lichtenstein. Najita moved to New York and continued the band with vocalist Beth McCormack (Carrie Nation) and bassist Ian James (Flower, French). Returning to Chicago, Najita reunited with Lichtenstein and added bassist Doug O’Roark. The next move was to Hawaii, where the band continued as a solo project with featured vocalist Sara Jane Lilley. Single Season Record is the band’s first full-length album in 17 years. AOH then began a series of special-edition singles with cover photographs by John Valceanu, and also released a compilation of unreleased tracks from the early 90s.
