Andrea Bazzechi/Experience
One could say that every time they catch wind of Andrea Bazzechi it’s truly an experience. Which happens to coincide with his project Experience and the 2018 debut, Life Is About Colours.
A former photographer, Andrea Bazzechi is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from the picturesque Florence, Italy who has always made his music a group effort. In 2015 he began collaborating with classically trained guitarist Andrea Checcucci and percussionist Doudonho Santos Eljero. When they started out, they were finding their footing playing covers, but soon enough started working on Bazzechi’s originals. Two years after first connecting the talented trio released a pair of singles; “Gypsies” a folk-Irish ballad and the country rock tune, “Crazy World.” Later that year Bazzechi started to expand his musical horizons by working with more top shelf musicians.
He went into it wanted to make a record with original songs that not only were able to blend the raw vibes of acoustic instruments with electric energies, but also were able to create sounds that grooved with rich melodies. Over the course of six months Bazzechi and bassist/arranger Carlo Bonamico worked tirelessly with a number of talented musicians including; Michele Zappatini (drumer), Riccardo Centazzo (Accordion), Hildegard Kuen (Viola) and Giacomo Guatteri (Guitars); and in the end it was all worth it as Life Is About Colours was complete, and Experience was ready to make its mark.
