Andrés Jácome is a self-produced singer/songwriter born in Ecuador and based in Panama City, Panama. Andrés first entered the Panamanian underground music scene as the front man of Vida Nocturna, a post-punk group. However, through his solo music he embarked in a different direction. Embracing a DIY ethos, Jácome explores themes of existentialism, daily life and introspection mainly through electronic and folky compositions. With influences ranging from noise and ambient music, to folk and lo-fi rock, Andrés recorded his first EP back in 2016, “Solía ser un rey”, and released it through Editoris in 2020. His upcoming singles, “Nudos” and “Amarillo”, visit places of profound uncertainty, confusion and hope at the same time, relying mainly on samples, synths, acoustic guitars with open tunings and computer-generated beats.
