Andrew Batterham is a Naarm based composer, songwriter, and performer. Active across many genres including Classical and screen music, his music is a blend of all of these. His music has been performed, recorded, and broadcast around the world, by artists ranging from jazz legend James Morrison to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Screen music includes TV jingles, short films, and online media such as podcasts and playlists. Andrew’s songs have won awards from the Voyager International Song Competition (judged by Dami Im and Isaiah Firebrace), and the Australian National Songwriting Contest. Educational music includes works on the AMEB, HSC, and VCE lists.
Recent industry achievements include ABC Fresh Start funding, an ANAM Set commission about mental health, Amex funding for funk band Speakeasy to record at Melbourne's iconic Sing Sing Studios, and a new funk EP due for launch in 2023
