Andrew Paley

In an interview, Andrew Paley once described his songwriting as the pursuit of &#34;open spaces, sharp edges and bright colors.&#34; He was referring at the time to his work with the critically acclaimed post-punk band <a href="spotify:artist:3FCdJMDGPAk9JrXymOkpAZ" data-name="The Static Age">The Static Age</a>, but it&#39;s now clear that he’s carried that spirit with him into the next chapter.

And that next chapter is growing into a book of its own – a collection of albums, singles, and collaborations that seamlessly cross genres of post-punk, alt-pop, art rock, folk, and electronica, and garner comparisons ranging from <a href="spotify:artist:7C4sUpWGlTy7IANjruj02I" data-name="Peter Gabriel">Peter Gabriel</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:4LEiUm1SRbFMgfqnQTwUbQ" data-name="Bon Iver">Bon Iver</a>, from <a href="spotify:artist:2VAvhf61GgLYmC6C8anyX1" data-name="Boards of Canada">Boards of Canada</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:2ApaG60P4r0yhBoDCGD8YG" data-name="Elliott Smith">Elliott Smith</a>. In addition to his solo work, Paley has released collaborations with artists like <a href="spotify:artist:6kyUfziWP8ydAsKzyXsC83" data-name="StayLoose">StayLoose</a> (including &#34;Let Go&#34; on <a href="spotify:artist:77AiFEVeAVj2ORpC85QVJs" data-name="Steve Aoki">Steve Aoki</a>&#39;s Dim Mak), <a href="spotify:artist:6TwO05VN5ZM3DYVEsP9vjK" data-name="OMAS">OMAS</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:56Adjcmdh6qICMhFUOuPER" data-name="DRYVE">DRYVE</a>, plus a split with folk-punk band <a href="spotify:artist:3wRGr9z5I5xmmVc21fIvC6" data-name="Days N Daze">Days N Daze</a> featuring dual versions of Paley’s song &#34;Caroline.&#34;

Now, this body of work will continue to expand with the forthcoming album “UV,” which will be released initially as a series of singles. The first, “Dead Centuries,” is out July 19th, 2024.

Once back home in Chicago, Paley will release a string of singles in late 2024 as he builds towards “UV.&#34;
