Andy Vought

Andy Vought is a Singer-Songwriter from Norfolk, Virginia. He writes original songs, plays all of the instruments (except drums) on his albums, and is self-produced.
In 2021, Andy moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia for family reasons and because Covid conveniently gave him the opportunity to work from home, but it also has served as an attempt to get closer to nature and the outdoors. As a long-time meditator, he finds nature to be a great environment and inspiration to both his meditation and music. In today's chaotic and tragically divided climate in America, Andy's voice is the voice of sanity, both struggling with, acknowledging, and breaking through neurosis. He doesn't make frivolous music, because life is too short for that, and the last thing he wants to do is waste the listener's time. In a musically oversaturated ocean where it's nearly impossible for the independent artist to be heard, Andy's songs and voice are distinct, offering more than just warm pretty sounds and well thought-out compositions, but also an embracing of wholesome expressions of truth so hard to find. He is excited about his latest offering which will be a new album in 2022. It reaffirms that in the midst of chaos and confusion, there is still an inner-assuredness that we can all carry with us if we're just willing to acknowledge it and listen despite all the distractions.
