Aneesh Kashalikar is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who weaves together the sounds of ancient and modern worlds. Mastering instruments such as the Armenian duduk, saxophone, clarinet, and the ancient Greek aulos, he fuses global traditions with contemporary harmony, cinematic soundscapes, and intricate rhythmic textures.
His music draws from Indian classical raga, Turkish makam, Latin grooves, and jazz improvisation, layered with neoclassical and electronic influences. His new album Pachakuti showcases a rich tapestry of rare instruments—including sarangi, duduk, oud, santoor, charango, and fretless bass—blending Eastern ornamentation with Western harmonic depth.
Aneesh has studied under Grammy-winning composer Herschel Garfein, Carnatic saxophonist Prasant Radhakrishnan, duduk virtuouso Arsen Petrosyan and clarinet virtuoso Ismail Lumanovski.
