ANGELSHARKX

The ANGELSHARKX from Berlin are more than just another heavy rock'n'roll band. They also show a good sense of humor by naming their band after a real shark attack on the lead singer – with a cheeky grin on their faces. Guitar maniac Matt MAD Sunday and vocalist Jazzmin H. create powerful music inspired by the glory days of hard rock, blues rock and classic metal and put it all together in their hell's kitchen until a unique meal is cooked.

They play with a furious backing band, their sound is reminiscent every now and then of giants like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Beatles and Black Sabbath and their lyrics are immersed in rock 'n' roll stories, protest songs and social commentary. The third album "Of Devils And Men", inspired by John Steinbeck's "Of mice and men", whose ancestors came from the same area in Germany where Matt grew up, also deals with the good and bad sides of human nature.

The picture the band paints is often bleak like Cormac McCarthy novels, but they never give up, they never lose their positive rock 'n roll - and their fun in playing. The live attitude is always aimed at hitting the audience like a heavy rock 'n roll train, while at the same time they are strongly committed to values like freedom, social justice and democracy.
