Anissa fuses her high energy with brilliant vocal ability in each song and performance – crafting memorable musical experiences you must see to believe. Anissa released her debut CD, Still I Rise in 2015. She currently has two (2) singles, Crazy and Trust Me in rotation on the country's largest adult contemporary radio station, WHUR 96.3FM and Sirius XM Heart and Soul. She's worked with many of the industry's best, including Miki Howard, Chante Moore, Jean Carne, and The Mighty O'Jay's to name a few. Currently, Anissa is touring the world with the legendary, Gloria Gaynor and Shirley Jones of the Jones Girls. Anissa is the 2016 Washington Area Music Award (WAMA) recipient for the Best Urban Contemporary Recording and nominee for Best R&B vocalist. Recently, Anissa played the lead role in the stage play, A Stranger In My House. The play was held at the Bowie Performing Arts Center and sold out completely to the 824 seated theater. She is capable and comfortable in various performance configurations. Anissa has captivated small audiences in an acoustic set and brought larger audiences to their feet.
