Anjo

Filipina RNB singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia - Anjo (Angeline Barion) began her musical journey at the age of 3. She draws from experiences with growing up; using her Western Sydney community and her cultural heritage as an inspiration to create in different styles. When considering her greatest influences in the music scene, she names <a href="spotify:artist:2kxP07DLgs4xlWz8YHlvfh" data-name="NIKI">NIKI</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:16rCzZOMQX7P8Kmn5YKexI" data-name="Mahalia">Mahalia</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2Mu5NfyYm8n5iTomuKAEHl" data-name="Ms. Lauryn Hill">Ms. Lauryn Hill</a>.

Anjo released her debut self-recorded and self-produced single, Imaginin&#39; (Acoustic) in June 2019. Her second release, Answers, showing her shift in style and the first incorporation of her mother tongue, Tagalog. Barion&#39;s January 2021 single and project, Damn! Freestyle (Unmastered) demonstrates her passion for spoken word, cinematography and visual art. Like her debut single, these 2 subsequent projects have been self-produced and recorded.

She finds creating music a therapeutic process even describing it as a form of communication that allows her to say things she cannot express aloud.
