Ann Moss

I'm a vocalist, teaching artist, champion of living composers, and an ardent fan of music of all eras and genres. My artistic mission is to lift up new and contemporary vocal literature to serve as narrative for the hard to speak about issues of our times. I perform and collaborate with a dynamic array of songwriters, musicians, chamber ensembles and orchestras. While I've been fortunate to work with world-famous composers like Jake Heggie, Kaija Saariaho, John Harbison and Aaron Jay Kernis, I eagerly seek out music by emerging and under-represented voices.

In the last decade I have acquired a deep love for the art and craft of recording, collaborating with remarkable music creators like Leslie Ann Jones, Michael Romanowski, Alberto Hernandez, Andreas Meyer, Lolly Lewis, Dann Thompson, John Weston, Piper Payne, Jeff Kolhede, and Andy Happel. My first two portrait albums, Currents and Love Life, were produced by multi-GRAMMY® award winner Leslie Ann Jones at Skywalker Sound. I can be heard on releases from Naxos, Arsis, Albany, Ravello, Navona, and Jaded Ibis.
