Annamaria Sotgiu was born in Genoa, where she also completed her piano diploma at the Paganini Conservatory. She studied jazz at the Conservatory of Alessandria and is about to graduate in opera singing at the Conservatory of Trapani. She has won numerous awards both in piano and singing (best jazz singing voice at the "Jimmy Woode Award", first prize at the "Arts Award 2010" or winner of the talent show "Liguria Selection", thanks to which she recorded her first album "sounds of soul"). As a choir singer of the singer-songwriter Pippo Polin she gained great concert experience in the middle and big theaters of Northern Europe. She was a teacher of lyrical singing at the music high school of Palermo "Regina Margherita" and now, in addition to her artistic activity, she is also a music teacher at an Italian public school.
