Los Angeles Native Anni is an indie pop singer/songwriter and published poet. She started her
career writing poetry at a young age. While learning piano, she began to turn her poetry into
lyrics and from then on used writing as a way of self-expression. She studied songwriting at The
New School and started her first artist project under the name ‘Annika Grace’ in 2016. Since
then, she has created a new artist project under the name ‘Anni’ exploring a more vulnerable,
and raw side to her sound.
Her love for the music and building community lead her to start a concert series called
Saturdays at Seven in her backyard. It soon grew to be a showcase series on the West Side
bringing creatives together every Saturday at 7pm.
Anni's poetry has won six silver keys in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has been
awarded First Place Gold Medalist for the World Poetry Movement’s Best Poets and Poems and
Gold Medalist in the International Who’s Who in poetry contest. Her first poetry book 'Remedies' comes out this year exploring the thoughts of grief, love, and acceptance and how in
a way, words and music can heal.
