Releasing her first EP dreamlovers, the 19 year-old singer/songwriter anny, has been writing these songs since she has started high school. She describes dreamlovers as an exploration of idealistic love, with all songs based on her personal stories and experiences. The EP showcases her musical growth from a pop punk genre transitioning to more electronic pop.


Growing up, anny, was classically trained in piano and did not start to expand her musical knowledge until being introduced to rock music while in the rock band. She started writing songs when feeling alone during middle school, learning to play the ukulele and bass guitar to play in a band in school festivals.


Recently, she's learnt how to produce her own music and has been able to bring her lyrics and songs to life with electronic music production. Although being a fan of punk rock and electronic pop herself, she finds a mix of acoustic and electronic pop music the best for her own songs, with the indie pop genre being her favourite.


She sees writing lyrics and songs similar to how people see dreams as an escape to an alternate reality. Rather than doing the irrational things she wishes to do, she chooses to write out her emotions as a way to keep a record of her memories. Because of this, she likes to keep a diary, writing about everything, and take pictures of what she sees in her everyday life. Looking back at her memoirs, she finds warmth and graciousness while reflecting on her personal growth.
