Anouk van Dijk (16), from Pukekawa, New Zealand, started playing the ukulele when she was 11 years old. She quickly moved on to guitar and started writing her own songs. Her very first song Show Love won the 2015 NZ Ukulele songwriting competition. The following year saw her win again with Cape Reinga, a song that also won the Hook, Line and Sing-along from NZ Music commission in 2017. That same year she also won the AMS music competition for adults with 99 days. Anouk was just 13 years old. Her songs come straight from her heart about moments, people and places that touch her. Now 15 Anouk has written a repertoire of 15 songs and likes to play together with her sister Tanika at local events.
