A songwriter, record producer, budding engineer and artist thanks to an early love for music, a grandmother that insisted storybooks were the way and the internet, Ansah Live has grown to become a well rounded creative well on his way to the major leagues.
In March 2016, he released his debut EP ‘Ultramarine Dream’ which featured Tano Jackson, BiQo and the band, 21 Greedy Merchants. The project also saw production from DBM, Liquidbeast, MeetTheFoxx and Ansah Live himself .It caught the attention of many music lovers and critics in the local scene due to its alternative approach. In 2018, he co-founded the alternative indie collective SuperJazzClub along with Seyyoh, Øbed, Joeyturks, BiQo and TanoJackson and together set out to build a new world fuelled by experimentation.
Ansah Live is credited for co-writing BiQo’s debut and sophomore music EPs, the latter churning two songs included on ‘The Perfect Picture, Ten Years Later’, a film by award wining Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso. He is also credited as songwriter on Ghanaian singer Adomaa ‘Voices’ on her ‘Adomaa Vrs Adomaa’ double EP. Ansah Live has cited Brittany Howard ,André 3000, Childish Gambino and Bon Iver among others as influences driving him to remain fluid and experimental.
