Anson Jones

With the release of the Wait & Wait EP, Anson Jones takes a fresh approach to genre-crossing to give the record a life all it's own. The first single, “Never End", immediately grabs you with its infectious ambient pop style, followed by it's ever building arrangement of electronica mixed with rock giving way for a powerful chorus and musical swells that allow it to breathe as it plays on. "The song describes the nostalgia felt when remembering what it was like to be a musician as a teenager and fun times I had with high school friends." Although the single speaks volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Anson is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.



"Each song on the EP is within the same area of electronica but they have their one vibe. Never End has a more upbeat and bright sound, while 'Let You Go' is more of an electronic ballad about the guilt felt after a recent breakup. 'Wait & Wait' is about a totally different topic altogether, and is in a slightly different time signature and vibe. I’d say that this EP, as well as the upcoming few EPs, are more experimental for me." says Jones of writing the record. In the summer of 2019, Nick Hanselman joined on drums shortly before the release of the single "More Than Just A Friend".
