Anthony Byrne

Anthony is a singer/songwriter and producer based in Limerick City. He has always been fascinated by the sounds and styles of the 80's synth pop era, and how they blended catchy melodies with innovative technology. He draws inspiration from the production of 80's synth giants like Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears and Eurhythmics, as well as the amazing songwriters like Sinead O'Connor and Leonard Cohen, who influenced him with their honest and poetic lyrics. He attempts to combine confessional songwriting with electronic production, creating songs that are both personal and universal. His debut ep/mini album "gnostic" was released in February 2019, showcasing his unique blend of synth pop and indie rock. He is now working on the follow up, which promises to be even more adventurous and expressive.
