Forming in the back of a record store in Melbourne, Australia (circa 1999), the highly energetic, melodic rock trio quickly shot to the forefront of an emergence of exciting new Aussie rock bands in the early naughties alongside such contemporaries as Gyroscope, Kisschasy and Parkway Drive.
Hard-working and independent, the band self-financed numerous EPs and albums, including the cult favourites – Memoirs of a Common Man and Aurora.
Relentless touring and an ever-growing fan base, saw the group gain extensive nationwide airplay, a coveted spot on Triple J’s Hottest 100, slots on Falls, Homebake, Warped Tour and Push Over festivals and high profile tours with such acts as Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional and Midnight Oil.
An impressive 9 year run saw the band play over 1000 shows across the globe, before surprisingly disbanding in 2008 after a sold out hometown show at Melbourne’s Hi-Fi Bar. It seemed the curtain had finally closed on this much loved and respected Australian band.
However, in 2014 the band briefly returned with a different lineup to release their 3rd studio album, ‘Stare Down The Ocean’, then returned again in 2019 with original bass player Sean Daly to support U.S rocker's Anberlin & The Get Up Kids, as well as headlining their own sold out shows. The reaction received from their return was so emphatic the band bunkered down and wrote the album of their career ‘INSTINCTS’ - Out Now.
