Born and raised in Lecce, a pictoresque town near the coast of South Italy, he started collecting stories and put them to music at a very young age.
Italian singer songwriter Antonio Camilli launched his music career in the early ’00 with the indie pop band 'La Gente'. The band signed to an independent label ‘La Rivolta Records’ recorded and released their first album in 2014 ‘Come Ieri’, which enabled them to tour the country for a year.
At the beginning of 2015 Camilli quit the band and moved to London in search of his real music persona. He officially launched his solo project with the release of 2017’s ’Before You Leave’ an acoustic splendour that reflects his love of folk music. After having played few shows and festivals around the UK he returned to the studio and recorded his next EP, due to be released in 2019.
