Antonio Urso

Antonio Urso is a Naples-based soundtrack composer, music producer, and sound designer. Experimentation and research lie at the heart of his work, which combines both digital and analog techniques. His music is influenced by the sounds and atmospheres of Neapolitan musical tradition, by classical composers such as Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Johann Strauss, as well as by the unique creations of Ennio Morricone.

Among his most significant works are Studio No. 1 on The Count of Monte Cristo by Luciano Melchionna, Curia Artis and Humanitas for Melchionna’s production Dignità Autonome di Prostituzione, and the score for Ho visto Maradona by French writer Daniel Pennac, which premiered in 2021 at the Campania Teatro Festival. His composition "Curia Artis" was awarded First Prize in the “Innovative Writing” category at the UK International Music Competition 2025 (Season 3).
