Anuragi, (aka Dr. Rajesh Anuragi), is a Delhi-based singer-songwriter who fuses acoustic, folk and rock sounds with poetic Hindi and Urdu lyrics. Originally from a small town in Uttar Pradesh, he pursued an MD at Banaras Hindu University, but his true passion led him to music.
With four studio albums—Nishaani (2013), Zaher (2015), Aazadi (2018), and Lockdown (2020)—Anuragi’s music explores social issues, spirituality, and human connection. His latest album, Ae Dil Gungunaa (2025), features singles like Jogi and Bhaj Ram, inspired by life-changing experiences & the mystical teachings of Kabir, Bulle Shah, and Meera.
Anuragi with his LIVE Band has captivated audiences at major Indian festivals, including the International Yog Festival and Rishikesh Music Festival. His 2018 tribute to the Indian Air Force, “Ae Watan,” further established him as a national voice.
An avid traveler, he incorporates India’s cultural diversity and landscapes into his music, which serves as both art and activism, supporting causes like the Narmada Bachao Andolan and the Farmer’s Protest. His music reflects the wisdom of Sufi saints and the spirit of India.
He also spreads his reach to humanitarian works for society, as he also heads an NGO named "Aao Milkar Karen Madad", working to educate underprivileged children of nearby rural areas.
