A new rhythm ripples through the void... and it sounds like Astro-Prog.
Anuryzm first launched into the Middle Eastern progressive metal scene with their debut album 'Worm’s Eye View'
(2011), led by guitarist John Bakhos, and elevated by the exceptional drumming of Martin Lopez (Soen, ex-Opeth).
‘All Is Not for All' (2015) continued their ascent, fortified by the bass mastery of Michael Lepond (Symphony X), the
synth wizardry of Uri Dijk (Textures), and featuring the prolific Christopher Chaplin (son of Charlie) on cello.
During this time, Anuryzm obtained coveted support slots alongside iconic acts such as: Black Sabbath, Epica,
Nightwish, Avenged Sevenfold, and Yngwie Malmsteen - before disappearing on a quest to the Gliese 667 system to
save the galaxy from total annihilation.
Now Anuryzm has returned to Earth, powered by the formidable John Bakhos (guitars & production), the electrifying
Will Patterson (vocals), the psychedelic Jay Jahed (synths & soundscapes), supported by the collective rhythmic
prowess of drummer Simen Sandnes (Temic, Arkentype), and bassist Rami Lakkis.
As Anuryzm hurtles toward the future, their upcoming release “Galaxia” anticipates a fusion of futuristic themes and
synthetic soundscapes, orbiting a dense heavy metal core. Progressive metal fans can expect an immersive audio-
visual journey through a science fiction epic designed to bend minds and bang heads.
