Anwar Mercury

Anwar Mercury A.K.A. Murk, is a 26 year old rapper born and raised in Colorado Springs. He originally started rapping at the age of 17 just starting with freestyles in high-school. Anwar then left to Durango to give college a shot at Fort Lewis. He was a graphic design major realizing that there was no need for a degree in his field. Not gaining the fulfillment and the cost of college Anwar then dropped out and went back home to Colorado Springs. But what Durango taught him was that he wanted to rap seeing he recorded his first song there. He then found Macadoe Macaatic Crew and began his musical journey. Finding himself in the middle of the "SoundCloud Era" Anwar started to build traction and gaining more shows. With this new found recognition he released 11 projects and tons of singles. Once COVID-19 happened Anwar found himself in a slump because all he worked for was put on holt. Feeling lost from 2019-2022 he didn't drop new music. As of late 2022 and 2023 he has found that spark and love for music now.
