San Diego-based rapper, Apex Kato, has been honing in his talents for the past few years after leaving his football career behind due to a severe head injury. Apex Kato has been on the move, dropping song after song. Most recently, “Pop My Shit.”
Initially, out of Zone 4 in Atlanta, Georgia, Kato draws his skills from artists such as Outkast, Dem Franchize Boyz, Kanye West, Drake, Future, and other prevalent artists during this time. Although he had an extreme love for music as a youth, Kato focused on sports. As a high school senior at Riverwood International Charter School, he broke various school records in both Football and Track. This talent in athletics ultimately earned him a Division 1 scholarship to Jacksonville State University! However, during his freshman season, his career was cut short due to injury.
This is what led Apex Kato to rekindle his love for music. 2018 marked the start of his music career by dropping “Xxtra” with his closest friends and producers, Playback and Swellprodx. The two producers played a vital role in Kato's music career. In 2022, Kato is ready to make his mark in the music industry.
