Apollyon Rising started their journey in 2006 as 'Apollyon', fighting their way up through the UKs North West metal scene, scoring a
series of support slots with a number of touring bands, culminating in a slot playing Bloodstock Festival 2012.
After a long hiatus, the band reformed in 2019, and after only a few live gigs they won the 2022 North Wales Metal 2 the Masses
competition, once again earning them a place at Bloodstock Festival 2022.
The year ended with a new vocalist and bassist, taking their sound in a new and richer direction — before appearing at Hammerfest
2023 where their debut gig was received with rapturous applause.
Their new EP "Prepare for War" was recorded at The Arch Studios in Southport with Tom Dring (<a href="spotify:artist:0RZeUahZvHN2foITeBq29O" data-name="Dragged Into Sunlight">Dragged Into Sunlight</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3iSORLy7akvZ1g6QUMnM5f" data-name="Venom Prison">Venom Prison</a>) at the end of 2023 and will be released on all major streaming services on April 5th 2024.
