Aprilann performs now as MadLeo - a singer songwriter and actress taking on the music scene with pithy lyrics and bold dark pop production.

The ambitious young artist is making her mark after growing up in Daytona Beach FL, and comes from a family of athletes with no music talent. She spent her days playing competitive basketball like the rest of her family, but spent her nights in her bedroom writing songs until she fell asleep.

“I always told my parents I wanted to be a songwriter and actress-- but I wasn’t taken seriously until I turned 18, got my GED, and moved to NYC.”

After graduating with a degree in acting, she released music under the previous stage name “Aprilann”, and secured roles in television and feature films in South Korea, Greece, and Serbia.

Since then, she has embraced her passionate need to make music that matters and spent the last year of isolation finding her musical voice.

The major artists empowering MADLEO at the moment are Lana Del Ray, Lilly Allen, Miley Cyrus, and Arctic Monkeys. She pulls inspiration from both old and new pop-rock, as well as from other rising artists she admires such as Aurora, CYN, Winona Oak, Baby Queen, Upsaul, Charlotte Lawrence, and Raissa.
