Le groupe « Aratane N’Akalle » ( « Les enfants du pays » en langue tamasheq) est né de la rencontre de jeunes musiciens maliens qui se sont retrouvés dans des camps de réfugiés au Burkina Faso et en Mauritanie au début de l’année 2012, début de la crise politique au Mali.
Ils se sont retrouvés désœuvrés, avec la musique comme seul refuge et occupation. Ils ont donc décidé de monter ensemble un groupe de musique de blues tamasheq pour montrer ce patrimoine culturel et exprimer leur vécu et leur situation de vie.
Rentré au Mali depuis 2015 et installé à Bamako, le groupe s'est inscrit comme l'un des meilleurs groupes de musique live de la capitale malienne.
Aratane N'Akalle means "Children of the country" (in Tamasheq language). Composed of young Malian musicians, who fled the Malian crisis of 2012 for the refugee camps in Burkina Faso and Mauritania.
They found themselves idle, with music as their only refuge and occupation. They therefore decided to set up a Tamasheq blues music group together to show this cultural heritage and express their experience and life situation.
Back in Mali in 2015 and settled in Bamako, the group has become one of the best live music groups in the Malian capital. Between artistic collaborations, festivals and creative residencies, young people constantly evolve in their careers and plan to conquer the stages of the world, to better promote Tamasheq culture and history.
