The Smallest Band in the West. The Real Arcane [tm], known as Arcane for short, got its start in 2009 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, an overgrown wild-West town. With such varying sensibilities as Motown, R&B, and Classical, and influences from Buddy Rich to Gov't Mule and Little Feat, We seek to restore class and style to the Punk-Based Progressive Metal movement such as it was way before our time in the 1970's and 1980's. Our first CD, "Foundations", recieved a mixed reception among our fans in New Mexico, so we persevered with 2018's "Ponkacity", which has finally been released in its entirety on Spotify. We may be the only trio in the West who own their own bus. Justin and Evan are accomplished climbers of small (14,000-ft) mountain peaks. John also performs with several other Jazz and Rock Bands in the Greater New Mex area. There are other bands that are bigger, but no-one grooves like we do.
