Archana Kamath Hegdekar – Singer, Music Composer
As a singer and music composer, Archana Kamath Hegdekar’s musical journey is rooted in a family where music holds significant importance. While she stands as the sole member with formal training, Archana extends her gratitude to her parents, Mr. Dinesh and Kavita Kamath, for their support in her musical pursuits.
Commencing her Hindustani classical music journey at the age of 8 under various accomplished Gurus, Archana initially planned a career in Psychology, working as a psychologist, until in 2014 when life presented her with an opportunity, leading her to discover an unexplored facet of herself.
For eight years, from 2014 to 2022, Archana served as a teacher of Hindustani classical vocals at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
In 2021, she marked her debut as a Music Composer and Singer with the release of the original song 'Ae Savere,' featuring the legendary Shankar Mahadevan ji.
Archana's achievements span from getting an opportunity to sing in front of the legend late Lata Mangeshkar Didi at the Shanmukhanda auditorium, to using music has a therapeutic tool or as a source of joy for people across all ages through teaching and regularly singing for palliative care patients. Archana acknowledges every challenge and every joyful experience & the experiences she has gained from them and owes it all to the people who have been as a support for her throughout!
