Archie Shuttler has performed in many bands under many pseudonyms for the last fifteen years and was a stalwart of the London punk-protest scene. In 2019 he took the radical step - for him - of performing under his own name. Since then he’s released an album a year of more introspective and personal songs, maintaining some of the humour and wordplay of his previous acts whilst settling into alt-folk territory of sad cowboys such as Bill Callahan, Bonnie Prince Billy and Silver Jews.
He plays regularly with the likes of David Rovics, Captain Hotknives and Mark Morriss of the Bluetones and has played at festivals such Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and venues like the Cavern in Liverpool and the O2 Islington. This year's album launch will be at Spice of Life on 29th July.
