Archie Thornhill is a 24-year-old songwriter from London. His debut album Greek Street draws on years working in West End bars while completing his songwriting studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM).
After moving to Soho in 2022 Archie advanced his musical journey the old-fashioned way, with long unpaid gigs at local venues like Jazz After Dark (where Amy Winehouse began) before progressing to more prestigious shows at The Spice of Life and Ronnie Scott’s.
For the past year he’s been recording Greek Street, a collection of 12 songs inspired by living in that colourful and stimulating environment. Though clearly guitar-led, the album reflects a range of influences from 60’s jazz and Bossa Nova through 70’s guitar rock and 90’s festival anthems – brought together by Archie’s uniquely sensitive and unassuming vocal.
