It was over, the book was closed on this project. But the melodies and words presented themselves and they had to be written. Archy The Cockroach is a folk rock project lead by Eric St-Cyr.
Why did it have to return? “I suddenly had ideas in my head that made no sense for any other project I was working on, but I knew they sounded familiar. They sounded like one specific album I put out, 1980-1989, and I knew I had to continue with that string of thought. Archy the Cockroach is a stripped down, straight the to point concept.”
While Archy The Cockroach is just one of Eric St-Cyr’s many projects, for a long time it was his main outlet and live performances at folk festivals and countless venues have secured the sound into an accessible release.
