Anaheim, CA rapper/producer/engineer Arez Cobain is a talent on the rise with his own unique style of music that brings hip-hop with a military perspective, but in a way that the average person can understand and relate to.
It was in the military where Arez saw his future as he planned on a 20 year career in the armed forces. Unfortunately, that career was cut short as he was involved in a tank accident in Iraq that temporarily made him lose the use of one of his hands. While rehabbing, he began to play the piano to help gain some feeling back into his hand and soon enough became so skilled that he started producing music. Discharged from the Army, Arez was now fueled with a new vision that has led him to work with the camps of 50 Cent and Nelly - two of his musical influences growing up. Arez has also worked with Cashis, an artist who was signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, as an engineer and mixer and even recorded a song with him and Young Buck off of the County Hound 3 project.
Set to release his new album “Blood in the Stripes”, Arez differentiates himself from other military veteran artists by creating music for the civilian audience to understand. As he explains, “I don’t over-do my music with military lingo because I want the broader audience to relate and not just veterans.” This unique style of music is sure to make an impact as Arez creates his own lane in this crowded industry. <br>
