Argento is a project conceived by composer and producer David August, exploring the space where memory, landscape and atmosphere converge. Rooted in an enduring connection to the Mediterranean, the music combines electronics, acoustic instrumentation and environmental recordings to create immersive compositions that feel both intimate and cinematic.
Drawing on Italian library music, jazz fusion and Balearic ambience, Argento treats these influences as distant echoes, reshaping them through a contemporary musical language. Improvisation, attentive listening and a close relationship with place guide the creative process, allowing each work to emerge through time, environment and collaboration.
Suspended between perception and imagination, Argento evokes landscapes that are as emotional as they are physical.
