Ari Silberman

Ari Silberman is a composer and educator living in Los Angeles, CA.

Ari began his musical journey at age 9 playing the clarinet and then went on to study bass clarinet and tenor saxophone at Oakwood Secondary School with Los Angeles multi-instrumentalist Brain Walsh. Ari’s love for music, particularly jazz music, grew throughout high school. Ari graduated magna cum laude from Sonoma State University in Fall 2018 with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and was recognized for his talent and hard work by being honored with the award of Distinguished Graduate in the Field of Jazz by Sonoma State University’s Music Department.

Ari has performed and/or recorded with the Buddy Rich Big Band, Mia Gladstone, Brian Falduto, Barbara Morrison, The Marlonious Jazz Orchestra, Liquid Blue Band, Philip Labes, and more.

Ari’s album Beneath the Canopy, produced by Daniel Rotem, features his original compositions and fresh arrangements of beloved jazz standards. The ensemble is comprised of Josh Nelson (piano), Christian Euman (drums), Jake Leckie (bass), and features Erin Bentlage (vocals), and Brian Walsh (bass clarinet).
