Armand Popa

Originally from Piatra-Neamț, Armand made the move to Bucharest in 2019 with one mission – to make music his life. No big roots story here; he just packed up his dreams and settled into the city life, hoping to carve out a spot in the music scene.
His solo project represents a personal exploration, a sonic canvas where he paints emotions and stories through music. Having honed his skills as a producer at Seek Music, Armand brings a meticulous approach to his craft.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as John Frusciante, Tame Impala, Mac DeMarco and Radiohead, Armand seamlessly blends genres like neo-psychedelic, alternative rock and indie.
His music is just him being real. No fancy talk, just tunes that capture the highs and lows, all served with a laid-back grin. It's like having a chat about life's messy moments with a friend in a dimly lit joint—Armand’s music is that kind of conversation.

Before making the move, he cut his teeth as a producer, working with artists like Nane, Rava, Nosfe, Bruja, Emaa and many more while playing keys in Emaa's project and guitar in the band 'pleaseholdtheline'. His past endeavors include leading the band Sea Section, where he released three albums.

Armand is currently cooking up his debut album, set to drop in the fall of 2024. It's a labor of love, a collection of songs that encapsulate his journey, the city, and the loner spirit. Get ready for a raw, real, and unfiltered personal experience.
