[Introduction]
The art1st started as a group of Korean singer-songwriters living in Vietnam. The members who came to Vietnam after being active as musicians in various parts of Korea are participating in writing and composing lyrics with the goal of making music that contains their individual stories.
They are conducting creative activities aiming at making a new style of music by embracing the musical tastes of various members, thoroughly excluding musical genre distinctions. Basically, they enjoy using funky, rock, and fusion style arrangements, and actively borrow the indie and modern rock styles that are popular in Korea. We are filling the sound by using various instruments and beats, and we keep making various attempts so that we can perform according to any style of performances.
We release albums regularly. Currently, the 2nd regular album has been released. All members are willing to participate in writing, composing, and recording songs to produce the final masterpiece.
Art1st 는 베트남에 살고 있는 한국 싱어송라이터들의 모임으로 시작하였다. 한국 각지에서 음악인으로 활발하게 활동을 하다가 베트남으로 오게 된 멤버들은, 각자 개인들의 스토리를 담은 음악을 만들자 라는 목표를 가지고 모든 인원이 작사/작곡에 참여하고 있다.
음악적 장르적 구분을 철저하게 배제하고 여러 멤버들의 음악적 성향을 포용하여 새로운 스타일의 음악을 구현하는 것을 목표로 창작 활동을 하고 있다. 기본적으로 펑키, 락, 퓨전 스타일의 편곡을 즐겨 사용하며 한국에서 유행하는 인디, 모던락 스타일도 적극적으로 차용한다. 다양한 악기 및 비트를 활용하여 사운드를 채우고 있으며 어떤 무대 스타일에도 맞게 공연할 수 있도록 다양한 시도를 계속 하는 중이다
정기적으로 앨범을 출시하고 있다. 현재 정규앨범 2집까지 출시하였으며, 전 멤버가 작사 작곡 및 녹음에 참여하고 전곡 녹음 믹싱, 마스터링 최종 음원 제작까지 직접 프로듀싱한다
