In 2016, drummer Ivo Cardon and bassist Tom Trancez found themselves on intersecting paths. Their shared musical interests sparked a collaboration, which, alongside former guitarist Dempsey Derous (formerly of Guilty as Charged), laid the groundwork for the debut album 'Turning Point'. As the project evolved, Ivo's wife and current vocalist, Elke Vanhoutte (also vocalist in Rawdriguez), joined the ensemble, contributing a distinctive female dimension to the album. By 2021, their inaugural album became a reality.

After a span of several years, ArtFx reached a significant 'Turning Point' when Dempsey announced his departure from the band. Shortly thereafter, the determined guitarist Hannes Ryheul stepped forward to assume the mantle, seamlessly integrating into our current lineup

The current ArtFx brings a surprising pallet of gentle female vocals and visceral grunts to the stage, complemented by technically strong drum- and guitarwork infused with elements of progressive and Djent influences. This fusion results in a contemporary, exhilarating and innovative sound.
