Funk singer Arthur Thomas was born to create music and with influences like the Isley Brothers, OutKast and Marvin Gaye, the West Philly Millcreek native grew to learn how to use his slick mouth to create melodic vibes for the world to groove to.
In 2008 he started writing battle raps but began recording and performing in 2011 with a group El 7. Arthur went to Lackawanna College for football, but when he didn’t make the cut he put his focus on music.
Though hip hop & rap were his first love, Arthur Thomas began to infuse those two genres with others like funk & soul to create a musical blend that he calls “Neo Funk.”
Currently Arthur Thomas is in the process of creating funk coming all the way from the bottom, by collaborating with producers, King Isreal, N Dot & Pace-O, a group of musicians called The Funkitorium working diligently to introduce the music world to the new era of “Neo Funk” as well as setting up local shows and structuring a self empowered tour.
