Arty Aster

At the ripe age of 3 Arty's whole family was killed in an attack of dingos while vacationing in Australia. Later that year a family of wallabies found him in a ditch crying. They raised him as though he were one of their own. I guess it can be said that Arty learned to hop before he could run. And hop he did - right into the music scene.

By the age of 14 Arty had learned the melodic nuances of the didgeridoo. He and his mob of wallabies would play the didgeridoo and dance around the streets of Brisbane until the sunset. It was on a warm spring day that music producer and legend Butch Barrington saw Arty on a Brisbane corner hopping around with his didgeridoo and creating such nice melodies that women would stop in their tracks, fall to their knees, and cry passionately.

Arty was signed to a record deal with Marsupial records and the rest is history. He has since traded in his didgeridoo for a piano and a guitar. He has traded the melodic wonders of the Crocodile Didge for a nice blues lick on his strat. But one thing is for sure, Arty will play his music and always look back to the time he spent with his mob and realize - he's just a simple wallaby with a melody.
