Arüna

Originating from the home country of Santa Claus where people have a heart for the melancholic, Arüna has a way of writing songs with clever but heartbreaking lyrics and catchy melodies inspired by Finnish and American folk music that together capture the essence of nordic sadness. Proving that Finland is not a hoax made up by Japanese fishermen, she’s taking her first steps in releasing her own music with her debut EP 'Sad Lullabies from the Comfort of my Bedroom' that's coming out over the course of 2025.

Arüna was born in 2000 and grew up in a small village in southern Finland. She has been writing her own songs on piano (and later on guitar) since the age of 9, with her idol being Hannah Montana at the time. She spent her teenage years playing and singing in different kinds of bands, including her own where she got to write all the songs and even release a couple of them. By the time of young adulthood, she had landed a publishing deal with Mantik Music Group and a place from Sibelius Academy, a well known music school in Helsinki. Since then she has worked with other artists as well, including fellow singer/songwriters Elvira Alfaro, BENN and Joel Sundkvist as a songwriter and a producer with Elvira's single "needy" reaching 400k streams.
