Asad Khan is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer. Born in Pakistan, and raised in Toronto, Asad released his debut album "Lafz Taraash" (wordsmith) in 2007. After a decade long hiatus, Asad is currently working on multiple new projects set to be released soon.
In Jan 2022, Asad released an original single "Gaao Mere Geet" where he carves out a new jazz rock sound. A song about listening to your inner voice. "Whatever that thing is at your core, that moves you, that you know you were meant for, find it and nurture it."
In Feb 2022, Asad is set to release Mozang beats Vol 1 with three experimental beats featuring some of his favorite artists: Nusrat Fateh Ali, Abida Parveen and Pathane Khan. These lo-fi beats mash up a world and time gone by with jazz hop influenced sounds as the perfect soundtrack for listening as you drive down the QEW in Toronto watching the colors of Lake Ontario morph into black.
